Being a PUM Representative  

IMAGINE empowering ambitious entrepreneurs in the Zona Cafetera in building a structurally better future for their communities; socially, ecologically and economically. Picture yourself as the linking pin between SMEs and experts, guiding growth and fostering sustainable development. The role of representative is both dynamic and rewarding. You’re not just a representative, you’re an ambassador. You’ll receive an expense allowance of €100,- per month and performance-based reward of €400,- per successful project & expense reimbursement.

Representative Zona Cafertera Colombia

 As representative for the Zona Cafetera you are a vital member of the country team of Colombia, consisting of the country manager of Colombia and a project officer, both based in The Netherlands. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, nurturing relationships and facilitating impactful collaborations. Your role extends to client acquisition and network expansion, crucial for meeting the targets set for your country. What being a representative will look like? You will be actively on the lookout for new clients, screening them, and supporting and assisting them. As our representative, you’re not just ensuring smooth project implementation, you’re:  

• Partnering with entrepreneurs, propelling their journey toward sustainable and inclusive business development. 

• Leaving a lasting impact on the community: socially, environmentally, and economically. 

• Driving towards and achieving targets set for Colombia with a minimum of 10 projects per year. 

• Cooperating with PUM Representatives in Bogotá, Tunja, Barranquilla, Medellín and Calí. 

 
Who are you? 

• You are an authentic, resilient, humble and dynamic professional with a strong intercultural sensitivity. 

• You have at least 15 years of proven experience in sales, project management, and building and maintaining customer relationships (incl. acquisition and sales skills).

• You are connected to an active network of SMEs in the Zona Cafetera in Colombia.  

• You have experience in public and private sector program management. 

• You have in-depth knowledge of the social economic circumstances, language and culture of Colombia. 

• You have excellent command of the English language, as well as Spanish  

• You have your own transport. 

• You are available for multiple days of the week. 

• You are comfortable with digital tools, including Microsoft 365.
