Head of Programmes Non-Food  
As Head of Programmes Non-Food, you are a member of the Management Team and lead a team of seven Programme Managers. Together with the Head of Programmes Food, you are responsible for the overall strategy and day-to-day operations of the programme department.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to support ambitious entrepreneurs worldwide in creating sustainable change. About PUM

The role 
As Head of Programmes Non- Food and member of the management team, you serve as the link between programme operations and strategy. In this role you report directly to the Operations Director and manage a team of seven Programme Managers, who coordinate the programmes and match projects with skilled volunteer experts. Your daily activities will be varied and challenging: 

  • Act as a strategic link between the Management Team and Programme Managers, translating strategy and programme priorities into practical plans. 

  • Drive the identification and exploration of funding opportunities for the seven programmes, working closely with Programme Managers to ensure that programme propositions are well positioned and aligned with relevant funding opportunities. 

  • Lead the development of programme plans with clear propositions to strengthen business ecosystems and partnership development, ensuring alignment with PUM’s goals and evolving priorities.  

  • Drive the strategy to build a strong expert community, ensuring the right expertise is available to meet current and future needs. Strategically guide and coach Programme Managers to ensure their expert communities are skilled, diverse, high-performing, and ready to deliver impactful programmes. 

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the Head of Programmes Food, Head of Region Asia & South America, and Head of Region Africa, to lead the strategic planning and international roll-out of programmes, anticipate trends, and translate these into actions to achieve programme objectives. 

  • Analyse and translate data, analytics, and evaluation insights from programmes, partners, and donors into strategic guidance, enabling Programme Managers to deliver maximum results. 

  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies across programmes. 

Who are you? 

  • You are a proactive, hands-on, and a strategic thinker with a Bachelor’s or Master’s working and thinking level. 

  • You bring 10 years of relevant experience, including as a member of the management team.   

  • You bring proven experience in steering funding opportunities and securing funding across multiple programmes. 

  • You bring experience in international programme management and in leading teams, with a strong focus on results and impact. 

  • You bring a strong understanding of the realities SMEs face in sometimes challenging environments.  

  • You have strong intercultural communication skills and collaborate effectively with different departments and stakeholders.     

  • You have a strong focus on impact, quality, and results.    

  • You play a key role in achieving PUM’s goals through the successful delivery of impactful projects. 

  • You thrive in an organisation in growth and transition, enjoy contributing to further professionalisation. 

  • You are data-driven, with a strong focus on impact, quality and results, and are comfortable using digital tools, including Microsoft 365 and Dynamics. 

  • You are fluent in both Dutch and English and are based in the Netherlands. 

  • You are available for 37.5 hours per week (1 FTE).

This position at PUM offers a competitive salary ranging from €5.261,-  to €7.516,- gross per month based on a full-time (37,5 hours) contract.
